Meet Maxim Elmer – Finding Technical Solutions and Growing in Sales
Maxim Elmer joined Thermo Electric in January 2026 and currently works as a Sales Engineer. Still relatively new to the role, Maxim is focused on learning as much as possible, viewing the technical aspects of the work as an exciting daily challenge that keeps his eagerness to learn alive.
What motivates Maxim most is a strong interest in the products and their technical details. Beyond the technology itself, he truly enjoys talking with customers and collaborating with them to find the best practical solutions for their specific challenges.
In his daily routine, Maxim focuses on understanding complex technical products so he can advise customers effectively. Success in this position requires solid technical insight alongside strong interpersonal skills. Listening closely to the customer, communicating well, and explaining technical information clearly are all essential parts of his job.
Outside of work, sports play a major role in Maxim’s free time. Whether following different sports or staying active by playing field hockey regularly, he enjoys being on the move and catching up with friends. Travel is another big interest; spending a month in Indonesia enjoying the culture and nature was a particularly special experience, as was an impressive trip to Russia.
Looking five years ahead, Maxim hopes to still be in the same role at Thermo Electric, but with much more knowledge and experience. His goal is to become increasingly independent, advising customers more specifically and providing faster answers to their technical questions.
