Specification Summary
- Material: stainless steel.
- Length 'L': 25 mm, 50 mm or 75 mm; length measured from top to mounting surface.
- Mounting thread: 3/8 inch 24 UNF class 2 slot head, or 1/8 inch NPT hex head.
- Mounting method: with screwdriver for slot head or wrench for hex head into previously threaded bore.
- Thermocouple: see datasheet B/500 for types and for selecting correct immersion length 'A'.
- Mounting adapter selection: select required mounting thread, determine insulation thickness if any, add minimum 15 mm for slothead type or 25 mm for hexhead type, then choose next higher standard length.
- Immersion length 'A': select required adapter length 'L', determine length from top of adapter to bottom of hole; 'A' equals 'L' plus hole depth with spring 10 mm compressed.
- For best thermal contact, Thermo Electric advises using a 7 mm drill.
