Thermocouple and Tolerance Codes
  • Calibration codes include J iron-constantan, K chromel-alumel, T copper-constantan, E chromel-constantan, N nicrosil-nisil, S Pt/Pt 10% Rh and R Pt/Pt 13% Rh.
  • Tolerance classes include IEC 60584 Class 1 and Class 2, plus ASTM E230/ANSI MC96.1 standard and special limits of error.
  • EMF values are as per IEC 60584-1 unless otherwise noted.
Sheath and Junction Options
  • Sheath diameter codes cover 0.25 mm through 6.4 mm, including 1/16 inch, 1/8 inch, 3/16 inch and 1/4 inch options.
  • Hot junction codes include single insulated, single grounded, reduced tip variants, and duplex insulated, common insulated or grounded variants.
  • Sheath materials include SS304, SS316, SS310, SS321, Inconel 600, Nicrobel C and NiCroSil, depending on calibration.
Cable, Wire and Termination Options
  • Wire type options include PVC, Kapton, Teflon, fibreglass, copper braided, stainless steel braided and flexible armour constructions.
  • Immersion length and wire length are specified in millimetres using four-character codes; 10 metres and above use m in the code.
  • Connector options include bare ends, standard, miniature, high-temperature, ceramic, phenolic, Lemo and junction box connector variants.
Options
  • Options include no option, wire clamp bracket, bracket with fitting, moisture proof jacket, spring on transition and pot seal M8 x 1 with locknuts.
  • Reduced tip length is 25 mm.
